Bliggidy Blog I...
… So it’s now June. We’re almost half way through the year, and I am into my 5th month of being preggers.
Mixed emotions ran this weekend - I found out that my department (which is some 12000 eomployees I believe) is relocating to an office building kms away from where I currently live and walk to work (an attempt to keep active, and saves us spending money on an unnecessary 2nd car). When I brought this move up with bosses - my awesome idea of a shuttle bus system (as we have 15+ offices in this town alone) was shot don in flames as the local regional transit people are putting on ONE new bus to accomodate this move.
One bus route.
One.
From a mall that’s 30 mins from me.
I’m so freakin’ happy.
So I’m going to go from a pleasant 15-20min walk to a 60+min, 2 bus ride, $60 a month bus pass costing commute. Hoo-flippin’-Rah. I’m so pleased.
To cheer myself up, I decided to make NoblePig’s recipes this weekend.
Friday night was a birthday party for chum Martha - so I made the Peanut Butter cookies, and I think that they were well received. I saw people go back for seconds… ;-) … Saturday night, we had friends round so I went for the Blue Sky Potatoes and the BTRR Dessert. I had to make a couple of changes as the friends are vegetarian - so I split the potato mixture and some had bacon, the rest had chopped black olives instead. For the BTRR Dessert - pudding contains gelatine, so I made 2 batches of homemade pudding instead (one base vanilla, and then added the cocoa powder for the second layer).
Again, both seemed to be received well, and I was pleased. :D :D
I think instead of nesting, I’m becoming all culinary and only good tasty foods are appealing to me right now. I don’t have cravings as such, but I do know what I do and I don’t want at any given time. :P And the Bean that I’m incubating, I don’t know if it was a like or dislike, but after eating the potatoes on Saturday and the leftovers on the Sunday, was very active!!! :D hehehehe. Can’t wait to meet Bean and start messing around in the kitchen wwith him/her!!!
So… that was that. Bad news re: work - but great recipes with awesome results on the weekend!!! :D :D
